What level is the coaching targeted at?
Currently our coaching sessions and curriculum are targeted at all Primary 4 to Secondary 4/5 pupils.
Is the coaching curriculum differentiated for primary and secondary school students?
Yes, primary and secondary school students go through a different curriculum and approach.
How many coaching sessions are there?
The number of sessions typically ranges from 5 to 8 sessions, excluding the initial free diagnostic session. After the diagnostic session, we will then propose the number of sessions and content coverage customised to your child’s learning needs.
How often are the coaching sessions?
Typically, we recommend once a week as there may be some assignments for your child to complete before the next session.
How long is each coaching session?
Typically, our coaching sessions is approximately 1.5 hours in duration.
What is the purpose of the diagnostic session?
The purpose of the diagnostic session is for us the determine the gaps and the content needed for the coaching. You will also receive a diagnostic report from us after the session.
What if I choose not to sign up after the free diagnostic session?
There is no obligation to sign up after the free diagnostic session. However, your child will be missing out on the critical content and coaching sessions that will benefit her throughout her school life.
Where are the coaching sessions held? Do we have to go to an enrichment centre?
The coaching sessions are held at the comfort of your home, similar to tuition. Once you have register with us, we will assign a coach to liaise with you on the dates and timing that is convenient for you.
How do I sign up after the free diagnostic session?
You can do so by filling up a registration form which will be given to you by our coach after the diagnostic session. You can then return the completed form back to our coach or email us a scanned copy to: kennethyeong@academic-mastery.com
How much will it cost?
The pricing is determined by the number of coaching sessions we propose to you after the diagnostic session. All payment will be required to be made in full via cheque or cash.
How do I make payment? What are the payment modes?
You can do so by writing a cheque to us or pay by cash after the diagnostic session. We will then write you a receipt of payment. All cheque must be made payable to: The Academic Mastery. Alternatively, you may choose to mail the cheque and registration form to: 7 Pandan Vallley #03-502 S(597631)
What if I have more than 1 child?
Our coaching session can accommodate up to 1 coach to 4 students. As such, families who have more than 1 child of similar age group can sign up for a group coaching instead. Also, families who can gather together their friend’s or relative’s child can sign up for a group coaching as well. The pricing will then vary accordingly to the size of the group.
Will the pricing differ if I have more than 1 child?
Yes, you will enjoy substantial pricing reduction for group coaching.
Are there any resources provided during the coaching sessions?
Yes, each coaching session will have a set of handouts/worksheets. Your child will also be given a file to keep all her worksheets.
What if I do not find it useful half way through the sessions? Can I get a refund?
Yes, we will refund you the pro-rated amount of the remaining sessions that have not been conducted.
Can I change my coach mid-way?
Yes, you may write to us explaining the reason why you would like a change in coach. We will look into your request and come back to you on the matter.
Are there any homework assignments after each coaching session?
Yes, there may be some simple assignments for your child to complete before the next session.
Can I request for more coaching sessions beyond the recommended sessions?
Yes. However, additional sessions will be chargeable accordingly.
